The steam produced by heating water by combusting a fuel is mixed with the exhaust gas obtained from combustion of the fuel to form a mixture which is used for heating a cavity of a tank or an exhaust channel. The fuel consists of butane, propane, natural gas, diesel, or coal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for purifying gases; (2) use of steam; (3) method for extinguishing fire in oil bores; (4) heating device; (5) heating system; (6) use of heating system; (7) system for purifying gases; and (8) system for extinguishing fire in oil bores; (9) device for improving handling of oil bores.
