Use of human embryonic pancreatic cells to prepare a cell therapy composition for regenerating pancreas function

An effective amount of human embryonic pancreatic cells, not older than 10 weeks of development, are introduced into the kidney capsule of a non-obese diabetic or severe combined immunodeficiency (NOD/scid) non-human animal. This prepares a cell therapy composition for regenerating pancreas function in an individual and for treating diabetes.
