An anthraquinone method of obtaining hydrogen peroxide, consisting in a cyclical process of catalytic hydrogenation of 2-ethylanthraquinone and 2-ethyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroanthraquinone with hydrogen, followed by oxidation of the obtained respective hydroquinones with air. The reaction is carried out in a mixture of polar and non-polar solvents. The obtained hydrogen peroxide is extracted with water. It is characterised in that the mixture of solvents consists of polar solvents, namely : The mixture of solvents consists of polar solvents: }10-20 percent by mass of 2-methyl-cyclohexyl acetate, and 10-25 percent by mass of tetra-n-butyl-carbamide, The mixture also contains a non-polar solvent, namely: 55-80 percent by mass of a mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons.
