A cellulosic electrically conductive material for the shielding of magnetic fields, particularly high frequency fields, to be placed, as a layer, on the surface of a load-carrying element in the form of a sheet or a plate, which contains cellulosic and carbon fibres. It is characterised in that it contains 95-100 percent by weight of absolutely dry carbon fibres and cellulosic fibres, including 4-20 percent by weight, preferably 8-15 percent by weight of absolutely dry carbon fibres with the diameter from 1(m to 15 (m and the length from 1 mm to 20 mm, and 75-96 percent by weight, preferably 80-92 percent by weight, of absolutely dry cellulosic fibres with similar diameters and length. The thickness of the layer of this material covering at least one surface of a carrier is 30 (m - 80 μm, preferably 37 μm - 70 μm, and the surface density of 20-60 g/m2.
