The invention relates to an apparatus intended to prepare medical accessories before their utilization in hospital and ambulatory medical cabinets, such as echographic probes, stethoscope resonators, electrodes for electrocardiographs and electroencephalographs, sphygmomanometer cuffs, etc. According to the invention, the apparatus comprises an enclosure (1) divided into two compartments: an upper compartment (2) wherein the working medical accessory is introduced and a closed lower compartment (3) wherein there is located the electronic system ensuring in the upper compartment (2) the sterilization and the thermostatting conditions, the two compartments (2) and (3) being partitioned by a wall (4) provided in its central part with a slot (5) wherethrough the ultraviolet radiations enter from the lower compartment (2) for the sterilization of the contacting part of the medical accessories.
