Method of purifying thrombin-like proteases obtained from snake venom

There is described a process for purifying thrombin-like proteases which consists of three steps of chromatography. Subjecting a protease crude product to a prepurification by affinity chromatography or chromatography on a basic ion exchanger in the first step. In the next step of chromatography on a weak cation exchanger or separating it in the basic range by adsorption on glass and in the last step is subjected to gel chromatography or purifying this component in the acidic range by chromatography on glass.
