Solid or liquid pharmaceutical preparations, containing as active substance cilansetron or its physiologically compatible acid addition salts in conventional therapeutically effective quantities in addition to at least one physiologically compatible water-soluble acid additive to stabilize the cilansetron against racemization, wherein in solid pharmaceutical preparations the molar ratio of water-soluble acid components to cilansetron in the preparation lies between 1.02 : 1 and 10 : 1, and the proportion of acid additives does not amount to over 50 % by weight of the preparation, and wherein liquid preparations represent aqueous solutions which have pH values between 2.5 and 4.5.
