METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF TRAUMATIC DAMAGE OF MEDIAN NERVE

The method for the surgical treatment of the traumatic damage of median nerve comprises the juxtaposition of the ends of damaged nerve followed by epineural implantation of two electrodes for postoperative electrostimulation. The wound is broadened taking into account the pattern of the skin lines and folds in the damaged area. The median nerve is to be located in the center of the wound. The ends of the damaged nerve are mobilized and juxtaposedtopographically. Four epineural sutures are applied. The electrodes are implanted through the intact area of the skin into distal and proximal ends of the nerve. The wound is sutures layer-by-layer.
