The method for assessing the heterogeneity of electric excitation and recovery in the heart comprises magnetocardiographic examination, the plotting of the maps for distribution of the magnetic field in the frontal plane, the delineation of two subintervals for the different phases with varying degree of the spatial heterogeneity, the identification of the map separating the stated subintervals, and the calculation of the percentage of the first subinterval relative to the whole interval.
