METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING VARIOUS CLINICAL FORMS OF ENURESIS IN CHILDREN

The method for diagnosing the various clinical forms of enuresis in the children comprises estimating the character of the disorders of nervous and muscular structures. Upon the anamnesis (character of the urination and its relation to the sleep-wakefulness biological rhythms), the clinical form of enuresis is detected, the neurological status is assessed, the quantitative and qualitative parameters of stimulation electroneuromyography are estimated, the level of the disordered urination control is located. Then the data obtained are compared. The isolated nocturnal enuresis with decreased tendon and dermal reflexes, increasing latent period of M response of m. abductor gallucis and m. Gastrocnemicus and asymmetry of the latent period of M response of m. abductor gallucis as well as the changed shape of the M response of m. gastrocnemicus manifesting as psedomultiphase complexes of the normal duration is indicative of the pronounced delay of the maturation of nervous structures and non-uniform pulse switching. The combined nocturnal enuresis and day-time incontinence without alterations in the neurological status with slight increase in the latent period of M response of m. abductor gallucis and the changed shape of the M response of m. gastrocnemicus manifesting as psedomultiphase extended complexes is indicative of the slight delay of the maturation of nervous structures and the peripheral level of the disordered urination control.
