The proposed device for remotely monitoring the rate of the increase of the concentration of explosive gas in a coal mine contains a high-frequency oscillator, an acoustic transceiver, a unit for measuring time delay, a temperature transducer, a unit for determining the change of the content of impurities in the atmosphere, and additionally, an ultrasonic transducer for measuring the rate of the increase of the gas concentration, and a unit for transmitting the monitoring data. The output of the unit for measuring time delay and the output of the temperature transducer are connected to the corresponding inputs of the unit for determining the change of the content of impurities in the atmosphere. The output of the transducer for measuring the rate of the increase of the gas concentration is connected to the input of the data transmission unit, and the input is connected to the output of the unit for determining the change of the content of impurities.
