METHOD FOR CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF BLEEDING FROM INJURED SPLEEN

The method for the conservative treatment of bleeding from the injured spleen comprises the examination of the patients using computed tomography and ultrasonography, the complete blood and urine analysis, the correction of hemostasis and electrolyte balance, the transfusion of the fresh-frozen plasma and albumin solution for correction of protein metabolism. The drugs increasing blood coagulation are also used. First, Octreotide is used for decreasing blood pressure in the portal system and the celiac trunk. Then the intravenous infusuion follows with the dynamic ultrasonography and dopplerography for controlling the blood flow in portal and splenic veins.
