METHOD FOR PREVENTING POSTOPERATIVE HYPERPERFUSION SYNDROME IN SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS IN INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERIES

The method for preventing the postoperative hyperperfusion syndrome in the surgical interventions in the internal carotid arteries comprises the intraoperative application of the cuff to the blood vessel being operated. The cuff is filled with the liquid providing for narrowing the diameter of the artery to the pre-operative level. Then the pressure in the cuff is gradually lowered until the recovery of the complete blood flow in the early postoperative period.
