A method of long-term preservation of beet microplants in vitro includes microplants cultivation and preservation on a Murashige-Skoog modified agarized nutrient medium under the conditions of photoperiodical lighting at positive temperature, relative air humidity of 80 %, microplants relocation every 2-3 weeks on the new nutrient medium. The medium contains half dose of micro-, macrosalts and by 1 mg/l of thiamine, pyridoxine, nicotinic acid, additionally includes proline 2 mg/l, ascorbic acid - 1 mg/l. The microplants preservation is carried out at air temperature of 3-6oC, 14-16 hours photoperiod and 1-2 klx lighting, that requires no microplants relocation on the new nutrient medium.
