The proposed method for physically simulating the deformation process of a continuously-cast ingot in hardening consists in providing the specified temperature gradient in the cross-section of the sample of the ingot scum by simultaneously cooling the outside surface and heating the inside surface of the sample with intensity of 35 à 250 W/m2. The present invention allows the simulation accuracy to be increased.
