A Hepatitis C Antigen - Antibody Combination Assay for the Early Detection of HCV InfectionAbstractThis invention provides a method to determine the presence of HCV in a sample.This method comprises contacting the sample with HCV antigens and anti-HCV core antibodies attached to a solid phase. A polyoxyethylene ether is added to the sample. Labeled anti-human IgG and labeled anti-HCV core antibodies are added to detect captured antigens and antibodies and to detect the signal as an indication of the presence of HCV infection.
