The device is a screw with a part for pressing into the grip surface and a threaded part for twisting the device into this surface. An anti-slip device for screwing into a grip surface on e.g. a tyre, Wellington boot or shoe in order to provide better grip with e.g. a slippery road comprises a screw with a thread and a press-in part having the same diameter and width as the thread diameter. The device is fitted by pushing the press-in part into the grip surface and then twisting the device so that the thread is sunk to the desired depth.
