Laminar floor covering has interface void with a sliding wedge moved against a pre-filled silicone mass

A laminar floor covering block (2) has a main chipboard core under a decor surface (8) and rests on a base panel (1) that allows for minor lateral adjustment. The covering blocks (2) are separated by a narrow seam over an interface void. Prior to fitting the void is pre-filled by a silicone filling agent that hardens in situ. During fitting, the void volume reduces by the action of a sliding wedge (9).
