The flat key for cylinder lock has parallel flat sides with a key back. The key chest (9) is linked with neighboring groove (12') in flat side (2) whereby slot flank (23) of the groove has an angle smaller than 90[deg], between 30[deg] to 45[deg], with center plane of the flat key. The other side flank (23') of the groove has an angle between 93[deg] to 97[deg] with center plane of the flat key. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Cylinder lock; and (B) Method for production of flat key.
