A welded assembly of metal components with high dimensional precision and solidity, with one component being cold formed

An assembly has two metal parts (2, 3) with the first part being cold formed and the two parts are endowed with parallel surface parts (20, 21) and with contact surfaces arranged by forming an angle with respect to these parts for their reciprocal contact without any slot and are connected by a weld ribbon (17) manufactured by beam welding on the assembly joint (16). The surface parts are staggered with respect to each other by an adjustment (19). One of the two parts has a contact projection (6), which forms the contact surface of the first part. The two parts are positioned with respect to each other such that the second part forms, with the first part in the section of the first part, the assembly joint in which a dislocation density of the base material is much less than the dislocation density of the structure in a deformation zone (18) formed on the first part by cold forming. Independent claims are also included for : (A) the fabrication of this assembly; (B) a welding installation for the fabrication of this assembly.
