A process for producing transparent laminar film material based on polyamide, PBT, TPU, TPE, polyolefins or polymers with similar characteristics, comprises extrusion using a wide slotted unit (1). The slotted unit has an inlet channel, and a distribution channel or outlet slot. The film formed is passed to a cooled calibration unit followed by a water bath (10). Water is applied to the film material before the calibration unit, and the water and drawing rollers that remove the film, are at different temperatures. The water, roller and water bath temperatures are 2-90oC. The film is extruded at 1-30m/min, and the film thickness is 0.1-3mm.
