A method for regulation of currents during phases of engines, in which an actuator (1) is connected to a valve (2) outlet or exhaust respectively, having a position (Z) and including a mobile unit (3 ), which is magnetically active to control movement of said valve (2), a sensor (12) supplying a position signal (VZ) which is representative of a present position (Z) of said mobile unit (3), and first and second electromagnet (6a, 6b) disposed on opposite side of said mobile unit (3), and receive respectively a first and a second current (ISUP, IINF), said mobile unit (3) being arranged in a stop position ((ZSUP, zinf) during stop phases, corresponding said stop position (ZSUP, zinf) alternatively to a first position of end of travel (ZSUP) in which said mobile unit (3 ) is supported by said first electromagnet (6a) and the second position of end of travel (zinf) in which said mobile unit (3) is arranged such that abuts said second electromagnet (6b).
