Needleless syringe (1) successively comprising a gas generator, a chamber (3, 23, 43) of expanding gases, a means of retention of the particles of an active ingredient and an ejection tube (6, 26, 46) of said particles, wherein the gas generator is a pyrotechnic generator (2) comprising a pyrotechnic charge (10) generating gas and an ignition device, and wherein the retaining means comprises at least one cover (8, 28, 48) fixed to the ejection tube (6, 26, 46) and intended to break under the effect of the gases produced by combustion of said charge (10).
