The reflector antenna includes antenna units, each consisting of metallic parallel dipoles of different lengths and made of dielectric laminate material formed on a metallic plane. The antenna units reflect the electromagnetic field from a feeder, and form a shaped beam with the use of a field phase adjusting mechanism. Phase control is performed by adjusting the lengths of the dipoles. Orthogonal polarization can be controlled by using a second layer of dipoles located on the bottom face of the dielectric perpendicular to the upper face.
