Oven (501) of fixed-bed gasification in which the organic waste charged therein gasifying a gasifying agent supplied thereto, the furnace comprising: two internal sections: an A-compartment (505) in which the material is fed starting and wherein volatiles present therein are pyrolyzed and gasified predominantly, and compartment B (506) where the residue consisting largely of fixed carbon which remains after most of the compounds volatiles were pyrolyzed and gasified is introduced and burned or gasified; means (515, 516) for detecting the temperature inside the compartment A (505) and controlling the feed rate of the gasifying agent supplied to the A-compartment in response to the measured value therein; means (513, 516) for detecting the height of the organic waste layer in the A-compartment (505) and controlling the feed rate of the gasifying agent supplied alcompartimento B in response to the measured value therein; and means (514, 516) for detecting the height of the residue layer in the B compartment and controlling the amount of residue introduced in compartment A the compartment B in response to the measured value thereof.
