System for monitoring laser welds made comprising: - means for laser welding (1, 4, 5), for focusing a laser beam (2) on a structure (3) to be welded; - sensor means (8), designed for detecting the radiation produced in the welding area and for emitting signals indicating said radiation; - means for emitting signals linked to the power of the laser beam; and - processing means (9) for processing the signals previously mentioned in the output of said sensor means (8) and said means for emitting signals linked to the power of the laser beam, being arranged said processing means (9 ) for: - extracting certain quality characteristics of the signal from the sensor means (8) by means of generation of a function that interpolates the signal and subsequent extraction of indices of deviation of the signal with respect to the interpolating function; and - classifying the quality characteristics extracted, giving an indication of weld quality.
