A system for controlling the attitude of a reflecting element of a mirror (10) in a vehicle, provided with: means (12) adjusting circuit attitude adapted to receive movement commands from a user and to drive movement means reflective element, sensor means for detecting the orientation of the reflecting element in a predetermined reference system, and a unit (16) adapted to control management storage attitude reached or the reestablishment of a previously stored attitude; characterized in that it comprises a separate module (14) control circuit which is interposed between the means (12) adjusting circuit attitude and the movement means and comprising: - first inputs adapted to receive, means (12) adjustment signals indicative of the movement commands to be imparted to the reflecting element set, - second inputs adapted to receive, from the sensor means, signals indicating position of the orientation of the reflective element, and - control outputs adapted to emit signals for driving the moving means; the separate module (14) of the control circuit being adapted to transfer the adjustment signals to the control outputs in a first operative condition, to store attitude data based on the position signals received in a second operative condition, and to generate drive signals at the control outputs based on a comparison between the attitude data stored and signals relating to current position in a third operating condition.
