Stabilized adhesive composition, suitable for use as an adhesive layer in a laminated article or multilayer construction, comprising an adhesive chosen from the group consisting of pressure sensitive adhesives, rubber based adhesives, solvent based adhesives or emulsion, heat fusion adhesives and adhesives based on natural products, and the adhesive is chosen from the group consisting of: (i) polyurethanes; (ii) polyacrylics; (iii) epoxies; (iv) phenolics; (v) polyimides; (vi) poly (vinyl butyral); (vii) polycyanoacrylates; (viii) polyacrylates; (ix) ethylene / acrylic acid copolymers and their salts (ionomers).
