Nitrate detection element for commercial reactive strips for soil and water analysis changes color from red to blue to indicate presence of nitrate

摘要

Synthetic recipients for nitrate are employed. An optical signal is obtained by contact of the synthetic recipients with a hydrophobic sensorial membrane of an acid-based lipophilic indicator. A change from the color red to blue indicates the presence of nitrate.
