They comprise: (a) a polyester resin which is a hydroxylated or carboxylatedpolyester with unsaturation in its chain, and (b) anorganic peroxide with a minimum curing temperature of between 140 and 190°C; the relative proportions of resin and organic peroxidesbeing 55 - 60 % by weight of resin based on the final composition and 0.5 -3.0 % by weight of organic peroxide based on the finalformulation. These systems find their main application in the manufacture ofpowder coatings for the coating of temperature sensitivesubstrates like plastics and metallic substrates, especially aluminiumsubstrates, using the systems currently existing in industry.
