The present invention provides a method for controlling ectoparasites ofsmall rodents, thereby preventing the transmission of diseases by arthropodvectors. Theinvention further provides an enclosure. having openings for entry of rodents,and havingarranged therein one or more applicators which are configured to contactrodents enteringthe chamber and having an ectoparasiticide on the applicator for applicationto therodents.
