The present invention relates to a composition thatis extrudable and cross-linkable in air. The compositionthat is extrudable and cross-linkable in air comprises amixture of a copolymer with an ethylenically-unsaturatedcompound and an unsaturated ester, a hydrolizable silanecompound having no ethylenic unsaturation containingfunctional groups, and a thermoplastic polymer having nofunctional groups, said functional groups of the esterbeing selectively reactive with the functional groups ofthe silane compound. Such a composition is used tofabricate a material for insulating or sheathing a powercable, in particular a medium-voltage cable or a cablefor working at a voltage of less than 20 kV. Theinvention also provides method enabling said compositionto be cross-linked and power cables including insulationand/or a sheath containing the composition obtained bythe method.
