A framing template for use in the framing ofbuilding structures. The template has a plurality of groupsof printed measuring indicias. These groups of indicias aredisposed at predetermined intervals from one another andhave a center marking and associated side markings. Themarkings of each group may be numbered or colored markingsor have shaped symbols indicative of repetitive measuresfrom a starting point as well as cumulative measures. Themarkings are readable regardless if the template is securedon a horizontal or a vertical surface of a buildingcomponent to indicates the location of building components.In another broad aspect the present invention contemplates ameasuring template which :is permanently affixed, such aswith printing, on building materials requiring measurementsfor integrating into a building structure.
