LATERAL AND UPLIFT RESISTANCE APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR USE IN STRUCTURAL FRAMING

Bracing apparatus and methods for structural framing made of light gauge steelorwood, as may be needed when the framing is subject to dynamic loads. Thebracing, generally provided by two bracing clips and a diagonal tension strutofadjustable length, may be installed in framing bays of varying heights andwidths.Head clips and sill clips are provided. The sill clip may be anchored throughthe sillto a concrete foundation to provide uplift resistance. A stud support clip isprovidedfor supporting two vertically aligned studs, and allows a diagonal tensionstrut topass between the studs.
