METHOD FOR MEASURING POLYAMINES IN ERYTHROCYTES, DIAGNOSTIC METHOD AND KIT FOR MEASURING POLYAMINES IN ERYTHROCYTES

A method for measuring polyamines in erythrocytes inwhich a polyamine oxidase having a substrate specificity tospermine and spermidine or a polyamine oxidase having asubstrate specificity to spermine only is used, an eluate inerythrocytes separated and purified from blood is reacted withthese enzymes, and hydrogen peroxide formed is determined witha highly sensitive chromogen such as a diphenylamine-basedchromogen.There is provided a method for measuring amounts ofpolyamines in erythrocytes easily with high precision. Themethod is effective for diagnosis of certain diseaseconditions or physiological conditions or the like ofsubjects.
