ARRANGEMENT ENABLING THIN CLIENT TO ACCESS AND PRESENT DATA IN CUSTOM DEFINED REPORTS

A report definition file that is in XML format governs access to andpresentationof data from a domain database. The report definition file may be created byinputtingfrom a thin client (such as a web browser) a set of report specifications, andconvertingthe set of report specifications into the XML-format report definition file.The thin clientmay input the report specifications through a definition wizard, or by directentry of SQLcommands that are interpreted by an SQL builder. The report definition file isconvertedto SQL to allow retrieval of the data for output to thin client.
