The present invention concerns a phytotherapic compound for the treatment ofherpes based on Uncaria tomentosa characterized by the presence of: (a) Atherapeutically efficient amount of an Herbal Extract from Uncaria tomentosa(Willd) DC Rubiaceae,(b) a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle, (c) at leastone pharmaceutically acceptable excipient,and,(d) optionally, pharmaceuticallyacceptable adjuvants. It also concerns a process of extraction for obtainingthe Herbal Extract from Uncaria tomentosa (Willd) DC Rubiaceae, activeingredient of the phytotherapic compound for the treatment of herpes of thepresent invention.
