The present invention relates to a container, an insert and a contact lens for avoiding contamination and infection of the eye. The invention is characterised in that the container, the insert and the contact lens are made of a mouldable material, the material comprising a predetermined concentration of silver nano particles and/or titanium oxide photocatalyst.
