A method for realizing the reliability guarantee of end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) includes: a. detect and judge whether there are malfunctions in the label switch path (LSP). If not, return to step a, otherwise perform the step b; b. judge whether the current malfunctioning LSP has backup LSPs. If it has, the edge muter or the transmission muter will switch the service flow carried by the current malfunctioning LSP and the corresponding resources to the backup LSP of the malfunctioning LSP according to the specific strategy. Otherwise the resource control function entity will configure a new LSP for the service flow on the current malfunctioning LSP according to the current topology and switch the service flow on the current malfunctioning LSP to the new configured LSP and release the path resource occupied by the switched service flow. The method can ensure the service continuity in the carrier network and the reliability of network QoS.
