The invention relates to a method and a device for exploiting the internal energy of fluids by means of a flow process and a turbomachine, and to the applications of said method. The inventive method consists of four steps. In the first step, the angular momentum of the fluid is increased by a pump; in the second step, the orbital momentum of the fluid is increased by means of an eddy sink, decreasing the temperature of the fluid; in the third step, the angular momentum of the fluid is reduced by a turbine; and in the fourth step, the fluid is heated. The quantity of effective work of the turbine is higher than the quantity of drive work of the pump, the difference being external effective work. According to the invention, step one is carried out by means of a plurality of pumps (P1, P2, …, P10) which operate in parallel and divide the complete volume flow into a plurality of partial flows which join up again, in step two, before entering the turbine (T). The device can be used as a drive for the transport of people and goods, for the transport of liquids or gases, for changing the pressure of fluids, for generating an electrical current, for desalinating sea water, for producing hydrogen, for cooling solid, liquid or gaseous media, and for generating heating energy. The inventive device can carry out a plurality of tasks simultaneously or consecutively.
