The present invention relates to a new fishing procedure by means of marine cage for pelagic fishing which at the same time acts as a means of fishing as well as a mechanism for the contention and transport of a captured biomass. The system is applicable to all sorts of pelagic species. It comprises: a) a floating tri-tubular structure; b) a superior vertical net curtain system; c) an inferior vertical net curtain system; d) a connection system between the superior and the inferior net curtain systems; e) a system that insures that the superior net curtain system sinks efficiently; f) a system that insures that the inferior net curtain system ascends efficiently and; g) a quick release system of both the superior and inferior net curtain systems. The marine cage for pelagic fishing allows to be quickly and easily towed, since the whole system can be yoked up on the sea surface.
