Does not require screws, and avoids any risk of undesirable disconnection. The device includes a generator connector having an axial female fitting, into which a probe (10) is inserted, and a mechanical retaining device formed by an elastic part (28) for the probe connector. The elastic part can be freely deformed and tensioned by displacement in the insertion direction (36). This deformation is nonreversible so that the elastic part exerts a force greater than the insertion force at the end of the connector. The elastic part has a rigid, movable and retractable piece and a reset spring (32), which exerts a force on the retractable part that brings the latter into contact with the probe connector. This contact force has a component directed in the opposite sense to that of the probe insertion direction.
