The invention refers to a process to generate electrical power in which dissolved hydrogen sulphide in a liquid NaCl electrolyte is electrochemically oxidized in a pressurized environment, p ≥ 20 Banrr and an average temperature 280 K. The supplying of oxygen is made through a porous electric conductive element, a strictly controlled pressure with respect to the reaction environment pressure being provided. The oxidation of H3O+ and HS- ions in the electrolyte at the surface of the porous element leads to charging positively the porous element and producing water and thermal energy that are dissipated into the electrolyte, the generating voltage appeared between an anode and the porous element that acts as a cathode being a function of the reaction environment parameters. During the process, the electrolyte and H2S concentrations and temperature are maintained inside parametrical ranges by the mixture reforming and the sulphur resulted at the surface of the anode is removed of the electrolyte by filtering.
