The invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used for the on-line control of impurities in liquids and gases in laboratory and field conditions. The inventive material makes it possible to simplify a visual and photometric evaluation by the change of colour thereof upon contact with analysable object. Said invention is characterised in that the sensitive indicator material contains a solid polymer carrier which is made of a transparent polymer material capable to sorb and/ or extract analytical reagents and/or definable substances. The sensitive indicator material comprises functional groups selected from the following range: nitrogen-containing CONH2, -NH2, =NH, -N3, -CN, -NO2, halogen-containing -CF3, -F, -I, hydroxylic OH, carboxylic COOH, COO-, carbonyl C=O, sulphur-containing SH, -S-, -S=C,-SO3H, -SO2OH, -SCN, ester-COO-, phosphorus-containing =POH, PO and ether-O-. The sensitive indicator material is easily producible, reacting with a wide range of analysable substances and makes it possible to define analysable substances with a high accuracy at a level of maximum allowable and dangerous concentrations in laboratories and in field conditions on different sites.
