The method involves setting suitable process parameters for the machining of the current cycle especially taking into account the process parameters for the current cycle and using stored process parameters for at least one preceding cycle. Optimizing process parameters stored in a fixed table can be used alternatively or additionally to the current parameters, especially for optimizing material removal.
