COMPOSITION FOR AGRICULTURAL USE FOR INHIBITING THE RUNOFF OF PESTICIDES BY RAIN

A pesticide composition comprising (a) a water-soluble polymer, (b) a multiply charged cation compound and/or an acid compound, and (c) a pesticide component; and a composition for agricultural use which comprises (a) a water-soluble polymer and (b) a multiply charged cation compound and/or an acid compound and which is to be mixed with a pesticide at application. Since a water-soluble polymer gels by the action of a multiply charged cation or an acid compound, the polymer (a) gels in the course of the evaporation of the pesticide fluid applied on plants or pests to be controlled on the surfaces thereof because of enhancement in the concentration of the cation or the acid compound, whereby the runoff of the pesticide component by rain can be inhibited.
