It is intended to provide a novel method of presuming the risk of worsening in an autoimmune disease accompanied by dysfunction due to tissue destruction. The above problem can be solved by providing a method which comprises detecting a single nucleotide polymorphism in a cytokine or cytokine receptor gene participating in the regulation of an immune function and presuming the risk of worsening in an autoimmune disease accompanied by dysfunction due to tissue destruction based on the allele or genotype of the single nucleotide polymorphism, and a kit for presuming the risk of worsening in an autoimmune disease accompanied by dysfunction due to tissue destruction.
