The invention relates to a method for strip blowing-off at the exit from a rolling mill for the production of spot-free and clean rolled strip, whereby the strip (5) is blown-off, by means of a nozzle (16), arranged over the upper side (14) of the strip (5) and the rolling oil/emulsion stuck to the strip (5) is vacuumed away from the edges (18', 18') of the strip by a suction device (20). A chamber (21, 22) is formed on the upper side (14) and the lower side (15) of the strip (5) which are pressurised. The invention further relates to a corresponding device.
