Method for the defined reduction of the residual error probability in data transmission

Method for reducing the residual error probability during data transfer between a sender (1) and receiver (2) via a data transfer path (3). The method has the following steps: generation of a code with a first hamming distance by a sender; generation of a second code with a second hamming distance and transmission of both to a receiver; generation of third and fourth codes with third and fourth hamming distances and their transmission to a receiver; and comparison and evaluation of first and third and second and fourth codes. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (a) a sender for reducing residual error probability during data transfer; (b) and a receiver for reducing the residual error probability during data transfer.
