SOIL CONDITIONER FOR LAWN EARTH AND METHOD OF MANAGING LAWNGRASS GROWTH USING THE SOIL CONDITIONER

A soil conditioner that is used not only to create an environment suitable for lawngrass growth in the internal portion of lawn earth constituting a surface layer of developed land for lawn playground but also to maintain the environment for a prolonged period of time. The soil conditioner is characterized in that it consists of a carbonized substance of at least 90% carbonization ratio exhibiting a porous amorphous structure provided with an infinite number of pores and having substantially no hydroxyl, the pore group containing micropores of ≤ 0.1 μm diameter in a ratio of at least 25%, the micropores communicating with each other. In one mode of use, the soil conditioner as powder or granules is mixed with lawn soil and applied. In another mode of use, the soil conditioner is sprayed on the surface layer of lawn. In a further mode of use, a multiplicity of holes provided in the lawn are filled with the soil conditioner.
